Why yes we are! We are ISO/IEC 17025 accredited and NELAP accredited.
What are Modern Canna’s testing capabilities? What all does Modern Canna test for?
We test for potency (cannabinoids), terpenes, pesticides, microbial contaminants, mycotoxins, heavy metals, residual solvents, moisture, and water activity. We are also certified to test growing mediums, fertilizers, and source water for nutrients and contaminants that can impact product quality. Our environmental division analyzes waste water, solid waste, drinking water, and unknown matrices for any contaminants that can negatively impact the environment.
Do you provide courier services?
Yes. Our couriers can pick up samples anywhere in the state of Florida and have them back to the lab and logged into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) the same day.
What are your qualifications?
Our analysts have several years of experience working in highly regulated commercial labs. Every analyst at Modern Canna not only has a degree in chemistry, biology, or environmental sciences, but also has at least 2 years of experience working with stringent cannabis testing methods.
What is quality control and why do I see it everywhere on your site and social media pages?
Quality Control (QC) is how we justify the data we produce. We want our clients to know that our data is reproducible, verifiable, and defensible. Over the years cannabis labs all over the country have received negative press and bad reputations for producing false data. For example: providing inflated potency results or deeming products safe for human consumption when they do, in fact, contain traces of harmful contaminants. Our quality control ensures clients that the results are true and the data is real.
Where are you located?
Our main facility is located in Lakeland, Florida. We are in the center of the state, conveniently located minutes away from I-4 and I-75.
Can I get a medical marijuana card from you?
No, you can’t get one of those here. We are an analytical laboratory. We are not authorized to issue medical cards.
Do you sell medical marijuana?
No, we are here to test the medical marijuana that is being produced by licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTC’s). We are not authorized to sell medical marijuana. You can see a list of licensed MMTC’s here
Can you tell me what type of medicine I need?
